Community Groups

Throughout Scripture, God shows us that He delights in a close relationship with His people, and that includes us living in authentic, meaningful relationships with one another.

Community Groups at MEFC are spaces where we gather for friendship, prayer, encouragement, accountability, and help as we learn how to more fully live as followers of Jesus, as God teaches us in Scripture.

Whether you're just exploring what it means to follow Jesus or you've been following Him for decades, these groups are for everyone. They exist to help us experience the transforming power of Jesus, together.

Community Group FAQ's

This fall, groups are meeting on Sunday and Wednesday evenings, but groups gather throughout the week other times of the year. Some groups gather in members' homes, while others meet in our church building.

Groups typcally consist of 12--15 people. We find that this is small enough to build meaningful relationships with one another, and large enough to keep conversation going even if one or two folks miss a gathering.

Weekly gatherings typically last from 1.5 to 2 hours. This provices enough space to study, pray, and connect without rushing.

Groups are designed to feel personable, comfortable, and also structured and meaningful. They include open conversation regarding a teaching topic, prayer, sharing our stories with one another, and often shared meals and kids playing in the background!

Groups commit to meeting for one 12-14 week semester at a time, with 2-3 semester per year. After each semester, there's a chance to take a break, continue with your same group, or try a new one.

These groups are meant to foster relationships that encourage each person to grow in Christlike love and godliness while providing real, practical support through lfie's everday needs, crises, and seasons of spiritual ups and downs.

Monthly Women's Gathering

All women, ages 16 and up, are invited to join us for our Monthly Women’s Gathering! This is a warm, encouraging space to step away from the busyness of the week, get to know women across different generations, and grow as followers of Jesus together through times of Bible teaching and prayer.

Rejuvenate Women's Retreat

September 18-20

$170 | 16 yrs and older

Rejuvenate is a weekend for women to get away from the pressures of everyday life and hang out in a camp setting. This weekend will be a great time to make new friends, connect with old ones, have heartfelt chapel times, eat some great food, participate in different workshops and activities, and so much more.
